Thanks to the dedication, energy and generosity of our many supporters, the fabric of Liberty Hall has now been saved. Over the last four years, the Campaign to Save Liberty Hall has raised an impressive one million dollars at a time of financial cutbacks and economic strain. It is testament to the focus and commitment of all who have worked with us to preserve a national landmark. The continuing success of the Campaign honors Liberty Hall's proud place in America's history. It also marks the beginning of the building's return to the center of community life.
We now urgently need funds to complete the interior renovation of the building.
From the outset, the Campaign to Save Liberty Hall has sought to make historic restoration an integral part of economic and social regeneration. Major grants from the Davis Family Foundation, the Fisher Charitable Foundation, Maine Community Foundation, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Maine Historic Preservation, and two substantial Community Development Block Grants have enabled us to fund Phases One and Two of Liberty Hall's three-phase restoration process.
